Elisabeth's Story Part 2???

Thanks guys for the wonderful feedback on my idea to continue the blog but with Elisabeth as an early thirysomething trying to juggle marriage, children, her new foundation and maintaining relationships with her family and friends.  I understand that this might not be something for everyone and appreciate the respectful responses stating that.

I'm proposing starting a completely new blog with a go live date of November 2nd.  That would give me enough time to write a few posts in advance.  I don't want to start a blog and then have a huge gap between posts because it's not fair to my readers and plus what fun is it to read a blog when you can't remember what happened in the last post?  I'm hoping that between now and my due date I will have a stockpile of posts that will allow me to not fall too far behind or go on hiatus.

As this is a whole new world for me (I don't have three kids and my little one isn't here yet) I will try my best to make it realistic.  There will be some drama...did you guys honestly think that just because Liz is older the drama has disappeared?  Her friends will definitely make appearances and play a major role in certain storylines and of course there's Lukas.  Marriage changes when kids enter the picture so I'm sure there will be challenges.  Plus Elisabeth has started her foundation which will allow me to introduce new characters;-)

Anyway I will post a link to the new site as we get closer to the launch date!  Thank you guys for the support!

  1. Wouldn't it be easier to just continue the blog on the same site?

    2. I think it makes sense to have a new blog. This story is going to be different that Elizabeth original story. I'm happy with whatever Ariana decides.

    3. Hi Amy - it would be easier to continue on the same site but I am going to transition to a different time to Elisabeth's life so I think that new blog would be best. Plus the last post left off 5 years into the future and my new blog will start as though present day is 5-years in the future. I don't know if that makes sense...I'm finding that sometimes my thoughts are kinda jumbled as it get closer to my due date!

  7. I love that you're willing to come back and continue the story. I have two suggestions though. One, don't set a schedule. You are going to become a Mom soon and the likelihood of sticking to a schedule is slim. Most of us will be happy to read anything you post whenever you are able to. Two, disable anonymous comments. Anyone who won't put their name behind their comment doesn't deserve to be heard.

    1. Agree wholeheartedly with disabling anon comments! I am not sure why they leach onto this blog more than any other one that I have noticed (probably because they often have gotten reactions out of other readers, etc.) but that is not OK! To avoid that, I think it would be smart to just disable them! Just my opinion :)

    2. I agree to a point. Not all anonymous comments are rude, so I don't think kristin, that 'they don't deserve to be heard'. Plus not everyone has Google/live journal/WordPress etc accounts. And like me I want to say how much I like a post and comment on what happened but unfortunately because of the troll who always has something negative to say it ruins it. Jen

    3. Hmm, thank you ladies for your advice. I have debated about turning off anonymous comments so many times and the reason I am reluctant to do so is some of my fabulous readers are shy and wouldn't comment without the anonymous option. What I have decided is I will start the new blog on a clean slate, meaning that I'm willing to read all comments but if they start to get out of hand (i.e. attacking me personally or other commenters) then I will shut down the anonymous option. I want to be fair to everyone.

Regarding scheduling.....I'm hoping to do one post weekly, would love to do two/week but I don't know how feasible that it. I love the idea of not having a set schedule because it might better allow me to manage expectations.

  8. I enjoyed the conclusion. I like the idea of you starting a new blog that is a continuation of this story. I honestly like the idea of you creating it somewhere new. It's a new story for her, it's not crazy adventures in NY it's really crazy adventures in Conn. lol or whatever you want to call it. Plus with the addition of children I really think it's will be more of a mommy/children blog (no shade, the story lines would probably feature more about the children, and her facing challenges as a mother)

    1. Yay! Thanks doll. I wasn't sure how the ending would be received. I knew how I would end that chapter in Liz's life for a while but admittedly I sped up the ending. The children will be a part of the new blog but maybe like "Everybody Loves Raymond" where they're there but not key players;-) I think some readers might be pleasantly surprised or not...lol...about where i'm going to take the next chapter!

  16. This is the precise weblog for anybody who needs to seek out out about this topic. You notice so much its almost arduous to argue with you. You positively put a brand new spin on a subject that's been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply nice!
